This project aims to strengthen research and innovation capacity for the development of social resilience to disasters. The project will provide support to build capacity for international and regional cooperation between Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) in Asia (region 6) and Europe, and among Asian HEIs to improve Multiple Hazard Early Warning (MHEW) and increase the disaster recovery capacity of coastal communities. In doing so, CABARET focuses on a thematic area and a region of the world that is not sufficiently addressed by projects that are already being financed under previous schemes.
